The Canvas & Clay Mission:

"But now, O Lord, you are our Father; we are the clay, and you are our potter; we are all the work of your hand." Isaiah 64:8

God is defining us by what HE has done, not by what we have done!

Each month, we will send out “The Canvas Chronicles” that will highlight a local ministry and non profit and how we can bless and walk along side them. We will also share our current design inspirations, as well as a design tip from one of our design team members. We hope you love our monthly memos! 

Alongside Ministry

Alongside is the foster care and adoption ministry at Auburn Community Church. They support foster and adoptive families with care communities, which are small groups of adults who commit to walk with foster and adoptive families by helping with practical needs like meals, babysitting, helping around the house and of course, prayer! We also help raise awareness about the need for foster and adoptive families and help equip people with the resources to live out that calling. Not all of us are called to foster or adopt, but everyone can do something. 

Ways you can help:

· School supply drive July 11-15 at Auburn Community Church – Alongside is collecting items during check-in at VBS every morning between 8:30-9:30am. Drop off items any morning that week (Items will be donated to Big House Foundation - needed items listed here.) Items can also be dropped off at Canvas & Clay’s Studio.

· Upcoming volunteer training - Learn more about serving with a care community July 14 at ACC

Inspiration

What is inspiring us this month? All things Americano- think Nantucket summers with cedar shake exteriors, America flags, bicycles with wicker baskets, picnics with gingham tablecloths, watermelon, and lemonade. We think of white sand beaches and beach cruisers. Lots of sunshine, wicker, and joyful summers!
