The Canvas Chronicles - July Edition 2023
God Bless the USA
There is something timeless, classic, and effortlessly chic about the month of July. The weather is hot and our days are spent with loved ones on summer vacations. The world around us is bright green and showered with the spritz of sprinklers.
Our eyes are drawn to classic patterns: checks, gingham, ticking stripes all in red, white, and blue. Natural materials such as wicker and bamboo have us dreaming of evenings at the lake. Summers spent boating leave us feeling inspired and at peace.
This month we are drawn to casual, elegant spaces that feel welcoming and effortless, perfect for hosting large family gatherings. The warm July air brings about celebration and gratitude for our country. Just as his word says in 1 Peter 2:16: “Live as people who are free, not using your freedom as a cover-up for evil, but living as servants of God.”
July is powerful in that it elicits emotion on the perseverance of our nation for justice, shaping us into a country of diversity in landscape, backgrounds, and heritage. As we celebrate another year of freedom, this newsletter also marks one year since we launched our Canvas Chronicles. Moving forward, we would love to hear from you on local non-profits, organizations, or people we should highlight in this next chapter.
